Job Requirements
- Minimum education level of high school diploma or equivalent
- 2-4 years experience in event planning or related fields
- Experience managing budgets and vendor relationships
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as required
- Proficient in Excel or similar event software
- Residency in or willingness to relocate to Chicago area
- Availability to work flexible schedule including nights and weekends
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-4 years of direct event planning experience or relevant project management experience tied to hospitality or customer experiences/experiential marketing
- Highly organized self-starter driven to produce curated experiences and events
- Proven problem solver able to anticipate obstacles and quickly source solutions
- Ability to optimize resources and manage time efficiently
- Natural curiosity for customer experience, innovative business trends, and consumer habits
- Creative with an appetite for integrating originality into projects
- Client-first approach with resourcefulness
- Ability to balance and prioritize multiple projects
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with confidence in leading meetings
- Flexible schedule with ability to work nights and weekends
- Competent in Excel or event planning software
- Local or ability to relocate to Chicago area with some workplace flexibility
Job Duties
- Work in partnership with various departments to bring to life their exclusive hospitality and event needs
- Work closely with the Game Entertainment and Events team for tech and production support
- Manage all aspects of an event or exclusive experience from pre-planning to post-event follow up
- Lead site and vendor selection process and negotiations for best possible rates and terms
- Communicate promptly with vendors, team members, and partners via email, phone, and meetings
- Manage and keep accurate records of each event budget and ensure timely payment of vendor invoices
- Work with Business Strategy and Analytics to conduct post-event assessments
- Develop effective and collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders and key vendors
