Job Requirements
- 5+ years in Environmental, Health and Safety experience including EHS management system maintenance, risk assessment analysis, and technical hands-on operational experience
- Technical hands-on operational experience includes 3+ years competent in at least two EHS elements
- Knowledge of EHS regulatory understanding and application, standards development and implementation, inspections and audits, regulatory visits, incident response and management, incident investigation and reporting, corrective action plans, training and presentations, hazard identification and analysis, and recordkeeping
- Consistent attendance

Job Qualifications
- Must be self-starter with solid working knowledge of applicable Environmental, Health and Safety regulations
- Possess business acumen and strong communication skills
- Ability to influence and work on a team, mentor management team members
- Basic ability to develop focused action plans and forecast trends
- Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office and presentation development and delivery
- Certified Safety Professional, Certified Industrial Hygienist, Certified Hazardous Material Manager, or other equivalent certification preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree in Safety Engineering, Public Health, Biological or Educational Sciences, Environmental or related degree preferred
Job Duties
- Conduct hazard and environmental aspect identification
- Advise on and support implementation of controls including critical controls
- Support implementation of and monitor compliance with management system, policies, procedures, and regulations
- Build relationships and influence management teams
- Conduct monitoring, sampling, and regulatory reporting
- Partner with management to monitor performance and conduct inspections
- Perform serious incident investigations and prepare reports
- Develop and deliver EHS training and SOPs
- Participate in emergency response and on-call processes
- Supervise an exempt team
- Liaise with local regulatory authorities during investigations and inspections
- Monitor effectiveness of work hardening and first responder programs
- Perform other duties as assigned
