Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in global trade compliance, international logistics, or customs compliance roles
  • Experience with customs processes and customs valuation, import/export compliance including customs regulations and international trade, Preferential and Free Trade Agreements
  • EAR and ITAR experience
  • Licensed Customs Broker, Certified Trade Compliance Specialist, or Certified Customs Specialist preferred
  • Experience developing and implementing import/export compliance programs
  • Strong team working skills and preferably experience working with complex matrix teams in international arena
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment embracing changes every day
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills, proactive attitude
  • Attention on details while understanding the big picture and impact of decisions
  • People management experience preferred
  • Familiarity with any ERP systems preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Export Administration Regulations and International Traffic in Arms Regulations
  • Licensed Customs Broker, Certified Trade Compliance Specialist, or Certified Customs Specialist preferred
  • Experience developing and implementing import/export compliance programs
  • Strong team working skills, preferably with experience in complex matrix international teams
  • Proactive attitude with good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail with an understanding of the big picture impact of decisions
  • People management experience preferred
  • Familiarity with ERP systems preferred

Job Duties

  • Act as the primary liaison for all FTZ-related communications with Customs and Border Protection and internal stakeholders
  • Manage import activities by coordinating with customs brokers, vendors, carriers, and freight forwarders
  • Prepare and submit FTZ documentation including e214 Admissions, Weekly Withdrawals, Zone Transfers, and Quarterly and Annual Reports
  • Oversee FTZ operations including daily transactions, inventory reconciliation, and audit readiness
  • Ensure compliance with the Harmonized Tariff Schedule and country-specific regulations
  • Manage compliance with partner government agencies and trade programs such as FTA, AD/CVD, Section 201/301/232, and quotas
  • Monitor U.S. imports for timely customs clearance and proactively resolve related issues
  • Reconcile inventory records between internal systems and third-party FTZ platforms
  • Conduct internal audits and recommend process improvements
  • Review commercial invoices for outbound shipment accuracy and compliance
  • Maintain and update the FTZ Procedures Manual
  • Ensure complete and accurate FTZ recordkeeping for CBP audits and reviews
  • Support logistics and compliance teams with additional duties as assigned
  • Create and maintain instructions and document processes in responsibility area
