Job Requirements
- Certified dietary manager required
- ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
- ability to stand for extended periods
- strong leadership and communication skills
- knowledge of safety, health, wage and hour regulations
- experience in food service management
- must have completed relevant food safety and management training by specified deadlines
Job Qualifications
- At least 2 to 3 years of culinary experience in senior living and/or healthcare
- at least 2 to 3 years of experience in a management role
- bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
- strong interpersonal skills
- ability to maintain effective client and customer rapport for mutually beneficial business relationships
- ability to demonstrate excellent customer service using Aramark's standard service model
- ability to maintain an effective working relationship with other departments
- must be a certified dietary manager or a certified food service manager or have a similar national certification for food service management and safety
- or have an associate's or higher degree in food service management or hospitality with relevant coursework
- or have 2 or more years of experience as director of food and nutrition services in a nursing facility setting with completed course of study in food safety and management
- meets state requirements for food service or dietary managers and receives frequently scheduled consultations from qualified nutrition professionals
Job Duties

- plan and lead daily team briefings
- ensure safety and sanitation standards in all operations
- identify client needs and communicate operational progress
- ensure the completion and maintenance of profit and loss statements
- deliver client and company financial targets
- adopt all Aramark processes and systems and educate teams on key levers to improve margins
- bring value through efficient operations, appropriate cost controls, and profit management
- follow Operational Excellence fundamentals by meeting and maintaining food and labor initiatives
- ensure entire team is trained and able to implement
- supervise team regarding production, quality, and control
- maintain a safe and healthy environment for clients, customers and employees
- follow all applicable policies, rules and regulations, including but not limited to those relating to safety, health, wage and hour
- lead the front of the house of the dining operation (cafeteria/residential dining facility) in conjunction with the Food Service Director
- plan, direct, and coordinate food service activities to deliver a finished product to customers
