Job Requirements

  • bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • three years of progressively responsible experience in event or facility rental planning and coordination
  • one year of experience overseeing logistics, schedules or serving in a lead capacity
  • ability to handle physical requirements including sitting for long periods and lifting items up to 25 pounds
  • strong ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively
  • effective oral and written communication skills
  • willingness to demonstrate sensitivity to diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds

Job Qualifications

  • bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • three years of progressively responsible experience in event or facility rental planning and coordination
  • one year of experience overseeing logistics, schedules or serving in a lead capacity
  • knowledge of principles and practices of planning, scheduling and coordinating events
  • knowledge of marketing and promotion methods
  • understanding of management principles and practices
  • familiarity with current and emerging technologies supporting events
  • ability to manage budgets and supervise employees
  • strong communication and customer service skills

Job Duties

  • plan, schedule and coordinate facilities rentals, activities and services to optimize facility usage and maximize district revenue
  • research, identify and track available spaces for facility rentals
  • serve as the district's primary liaison for inquiries, site visits and logistics
  • prepare, monitor and maintain facilities use agreements
  • develop fee schedules, rental rates and cost estimates
  • review and identify marketing strategies to promote the use of district spaces
  • supervise staff and manage event logistics and equipment setup
