Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3 years related experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure

Job Duties

  • Oversees event set-up by coordinating menu and event timing with culinary staff
  • Arranges temporary staff, room assignments, event décor, and trains front-of-the-house staff
  • Manages front-of-the-house staff schedules and maintains professional standards during events
  • Ensures compliance with sanitation and OSHA regulations
  • Supports logistics of catered events including coordination, transportation, personnel, and equipment
  • Manages delivery of event services ensuring high-quality execution
  • Serves as primary liaison during events in absence of Assistant General Manager
  • Maintains housekeeping of event spaces and reports maintenance needs
  • Recommends and implements improvements to catering operations policies and procedures
  • Plans and organizes information, supplies, and support needed for event commitments
  • Supports sales team with event solicitations and upselling menu and beverage items
  • Manages work schedules and payroll of event staff
  • Assesses customer feedback and improves products and services
  • Oversees preparation of printed event materials
  • Assists with onboarding and staff training
  • Conducts maintenance walkthroughs and follows up on repairs
  • Handles customer complaints diplomatically and communicates issues
  • Makes recommendations on service improvements and follows up
  • Collaborates on policy development for events and services
  • Builds and maintains strong customer relationships
  • Provides training and performance feedback to staff
  • Actively participates in staff development and corrective actions
  • Supports marketing efforts and represents the university at promotional events
  • Performs other duties and assists with special projects
