Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 5-7 years of culinary management experience preferably in high-volume 4- or 5-star resort, cruise line, hotel, or restaurant
- Experience in new build or refit sector leading catering and F&B disciplines
- Strong business acumen
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Advanced computer literacy including Outlook, AutoCAD, Word, PowerPoint, Project, and Excel
- Ability to manage budgets effectively
- Strong regulatory knowledge including SQM, Public Health, SOLAS, IMO, classification rules and marine standards
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Ability to travel internationally up to 60% of the time
Job Qualifications
- 5-7 years of culinary management experience in a high-volume 4- or 5-star resort, cruise line, hotel, or restaurant
- 5-7 years of experience in new build or refit projects leading catering and F&B disciplines
- Strong business acumen
- Shipboard or interworking experience preferred
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities
- Superior verbal and written communication skills
- Exposure to international environments preferred
- Experience with new building processes and site surveys
- Good understanding of technical systems onboard
Job Duties
- Serve as a liaison between the F&B team and Product Development
- Oversee and manage all culinary deliverables within projects
- Work with Director of Culinary Operations to develop new and existing F&B concepts
- Assist F&B team in new build and refit projects
- Ensure needs and standards are integrated into new concepts
- Develop and manage resources to meet project timelines and budgets for equipment and smallware
- Maintain relationships with shoreside and shipboard functional teams
- Make recommendations and lead change efforts for equipment projects
- Build strategies to maintain galley and F&B venue equipment
- Lead partnerships for equipment sourcing and rollout fleetwide
- Analyze usage trends and performance data for equipment investments
- Optimize logistics workflows to reduce costs and improve delivery efficiency
- Develop systems to improve equipment repairs and reduce downtime
- Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and monitor service agreements
- Create innovative solutions for cost savings and improved equipment lifecycle
- Serve as subject matter expert for culinary equipment
- Recommend capital projects for equipment needs
- Implement sustainability initiatives in F&B
- Travel to exhibits and recommend new equipment innovations
- Participate in global culinary demonstrations and marketing events
- Responsible for fleet galley provisions and F&B design-related equipment
- Attend food and equipment shows as approved
- Travel extensively (up to 60%)
- Perform other duties as required
