- be capable of making sound operational decisions when necessary, ensuring safety and efficiency
- possess previous supervisory and leadership experience
- hold a high school diploma or GED
- have prior aviation, warehouse, cargo, and or ramp experience
- familiarity with Unit Load Devices (ULDs) is a plus
- knowledge of IATA and ICAO regulations is preferred
- possess a valid driver's license and be able to pass an airport security background check
- ability to read, write, and understand the English language
- capability to pass a background check and drug screen
- flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays based on flight schedules
Job Qualifications
- Previous supervisory and leadership experience
- a high school diploma or GED
- an associate degree in aviation or business related field is preferred
- prior aviation, warehouse, cargo, and or ramp experience is preferred
- familiarity with Unit Load Devices (ULDs) a plus
- knowledge of IATA and ICAO regulations preferred

Job Duties
- Oversee the cargo team comprised of Cargo Handlers and supervisors, leading by example to ensure operational excellence and customer satisfaction
- coordinate scheduled activities, delegate responsibilities, manage multiple priorities, and proactively resolve issues as they arise
- collaborate with the leadership team to ensure timely responses to customer inquiries and service requests, while promptly escalating concerns when necessary
- recruit, interview, and oversee the hiring all cargo team members
- manage Cargo Handlers work schedules and recommend appropriate staffing levels to the General Manager
- conduct regular performance reviews of direct reports while providing ongoing coaching, motivation, and corrective actions
- lead and conduct shift briefings with the cargo team
- meet, greet, and welcome passengers and flight crews of customer aircraft
- operate heavy equipment such as belt loaders, k-loaders, deice trucks
- build, load, and secure LD7 and other ULD containers in accordance with airline or customer load plans
- stage, sort, and label cargo for build-up or break-down activities
- ensure cargo security and conduct dangerous goods and hazardous material checks
- verify airway bills, manifests, and cargo documentation for accuracy
- marshal aircraft in and out of position
- follow TSA, FAA, IS-BAH, DOT and OSHA regulation and safety protocols
- escort customer vehicles on and off the airfield when necessary
- support flight crews with service needs including baggage and transportation assistance
- direct flight crews for placing fuel or service orders
- help flight crews with operational needs during departure preparation
- follow up to ensure all fuel and service orders are completed for timely aircraft departure
- load and offload luggage from baggage carts, transportation vehicles, and aircraft
- partner with teammates when not servicing customers
- thank customers for their business and encourage return visits
- champion best practices to provide excellent customer service
- assume additional responsibilities to support Modern Aviation's evolving business objectives
