Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a science-related area or equivalent education and experience
- Minimum 8 years food manufacturing and sanitation experience
- Minimum 5 years leadership experience in food processing sanitation
- Knowledge of Global Food Safety Initiative standards such as BRC or SQF
- HACCP certification preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to travel up to 10%
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a science-related area or equivalent combination of education and experience
- At least 8 years of food manufacturing and sanitation experience within the food industry preferred
- 5+ years of food processing sanitation experience including leadership preferred
- Experienced in a Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) standard such as BRC or SQF preferred
- HACCP certified preferred
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Bilingual preferred
- Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
Job Duties
- Ensure bakery and production equipment adheres to regulatory compliance and company policies
- Support company goals, processes, and procedures to ensure high-quality products are produced in a clean environment
- Maintain master sanitation schedules and processes using Klenz software
- Write, edit, and update SSOPs
- Apply knowledge, critical thinking, and problem solving to resolve complex issues
- Utilize leadership and influential skills to develop and energize the team
- Develop and administer schedules, performance requirements, and budgets
- Manage coordination of department activities focusing on lean results
- Develop and implement a World Class Bakery sanitation program incorporating corporate, third party and customer guidelines
- Act as subject matter expert in GFSI standards including BRC and SQF
- Develop and implement 5's approach within the department
- Validate inspection procedures, records, and reports for compliance
- Ensure the bakery is audit-ready at all times
- Research and implement lean cleaning methods
- Develop and oversee partnerships with vendors and contractors
- Hire, train, coach, and develop a high performing team
- Create metrics to measure employee and team performance
- Ensure accident, loss prevention, and security policies are followed
