Job Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • 2 years of leadership experience or 3 years equivalent combination of culinary education and culinary experience
  • Certified Dietary Manager (CDM)
  • Registered Dietitian or Certified Dietary Manager within 24 months
  • ServSafe Food Protection Manager certification upon hire
  • ServSafe Allergen (ServSafe Gen) certification within 60 days

Job Duties

  • Assist with creating patient and retail service standards and ensure they are met
  • Conduct sanitation audits and performance audits per departmental frequencies
  • Identify learning needs and opportunities for staff and manage information delivery
  • Follow purchasing agreements and compliance goals set by program leadership
  • Direct patient non-interactive positions and provide operational support
  • Maintain regulatory compliance and infection control practices
  • Communicate with staff and customers about service levels and promote patient satisfaction
  • Conduct frequent patient rounding and visitations
  • Ensure regulatory standards are included in nutrition programs and coordinate with other departments
  • Maintain adequate staffing for daily needs and manage workload assignments
  • Recruit, hire, and manage staff performance
  • Conduct job shadowing audits to assess training program efficacy and provide coaching
  • Collaborate in menu development prioritizing culinary excellence, innovation, sustainability, and waste reduction
  • Participate in hospital committees as required
  • Plan menus for special events and catering and assist at other campuses as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership
