Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Minimum five years' experience in air traffic control flow management
- FAA management experience required
- Ability to work variable shifts covering a 24 hour, 7 day per week operations
- Non-covered safety sensitive position requiring constant alertness
- Strong understanding of airspace and procedure design processes
- Ability to interpret aviation weather reports and charts
- Operational knowledge of FAA, ATCSCC or Eurocontrol CFMU computer systems including Flight Schedule Monitor (FSM), Traffic Management Advisor (TMA), and Traffic Situation Display (TSD)
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Minimum five years' experience in air traffic control flow management
- Experience dealing with FAA or Eurocontrol traffic management initiatives
- Operational knowledge of FAA, ATCSCC or Eurocontrol CFMU computer systems including Flight Schedule Monitor (FSM), Traffic Management Advisor (TMA), and Traffic Situation Display (TSD)
- Strong understanding of airspace and procedure design processes
- Ability to interpret aviation weather reports and charts
- Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with NextGen capabilities and equipage requirements
Job Duties
- Manages the function that plans, enacts, and communicates air traffic flow management decisions
- Participates in FedEx fleet planning activities regarding NextGen equipage and procedures
- Represents FedEx's interests in flight operations industry activities
- Manages flights database functions and route assignments relative to FedEx flight operations worldwide
- Performs other duties as assigned
