Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in restaurant management or supervisory capacity

Job Duties

  • Protects and promotes the Whataburger brand at all times
  • Schedules training as directed by the unit's/shift staffing plan
  • Maintains professional relationships with team members treating them with fairness and sensitivity
  • Communicates harassment complaints and policy violations to appropriate management
  • Prepares and presents ideas and recommendations to team members and upper management
  • Communicates directions clearly and ensures follow-up
  • Uses on the spot training to improve performance and provide positive feedback
  • Evaluates team member performance by meal period and provides feedback
  • Creates and maintains individual development plans and conducts skill assessments
  • Recommends and develops team members as trainers
  • Acts as a leadership role model and resource
  • Recognizes and rewards top performers regularly
  • Utilizes sales plan to set customer service goals and improve sales
  • Maintains accurate payroll and training records
  • Ensures team members adhere to uniform and scheduling policies

  • Ensures proper product handling, storage, and portion control
  • Conducts accurate POS and workstation procedures

  • Reports and investigates accidents promptly
  • Tracks and audits sales, food, labor, cash, and expenses daily
  • Performs administrative tasks including payroll corrections and payroll data review
  • Completes end-of-day paperwork and places food and supply orders
  • Conducts safety audits and shift inventories
  • Posts invoices and ensures accurate timekeeping
  • Reviews weekly sales and labor analysis reports
  • Provides restaurant safety audits
  • Ensures incident and accident reports are completed and communicated
  • Validates individual sales performance and provides input on top performers
  • Reviews staffing requirements and operating plans
  • Ensures timely hiring and orientation
  • Prepares standard and special reports for senior management
  • Assumes additional assigned responsibilities
  • Establishes and maintains community relations
  • Greets customers and solicits feedback to improve service
  • Maintains clean and organized restaurant appearance
  • Demonstrates fiscal responsibility with company assets
  • Ensures adherence to cash handling and security procedures
