Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience in front of house management or similar leadership role
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to handle fast-paced environments
- Knowledge of food and beverage service standards
- Basic financial literacy
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Certification in TIPS and ServSafe or willingness to obtain
- Ability to supervise and motivate a team
- Commitment to customer service excellence.
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience in a front of house leadership role preferred, such as restaurant or hospitality management
- Strong understanding of food and beverage operations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Basic understanding of financial management including budget and labor cost control
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
Job Duties
- Supervise, train, and motivate front of house staff, including servers, hosts, and bartenders
- Ensure staff are knowledgeable about the menu, specials, and restaurant policies
- Maintain a positive and productive work environment, fostering teamwork and collaboration
- Maintain a strong presence on the floor during peak business hours, ensuring guest satisfaction and resolving issues
- Foster positive guest relationships by anticipating needs, providing recommendations, and addressing inquiries with a commitment to the brand
- Oversee service quality, ensuring timely, efficient, and friendly service
- Monitor dining area cleanliness, comfort, and atmosphere
- Assist with daily cash handling, including opening and closing the register
- Optimize labor costs by adjusting staffing levels
- Monitor tipping procedures and ensure proper distribution
- Manage seating arrangements and reservation systems to ensure efficient guest flow
- Maintain front of house inventory, including supplies and equipment
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety standards
- Act as liaison between front and back of house teams to support smooth operations
- Attend staff meetings to provide and receive feedback
- Assist in creating and implementing promotional activities, events, and marketing strategies
- Develop and maintain front of house staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage
- Ensure staff maintain necessary certifications such as TIPS and ServSafe.
