Job Requirements
- Can create and maintain genuine, uplifting interactions with strangers for up to two minutes
- Can work carefully and quickly with hot water, coffee, glass bottles, and dairy products
- Can work outdoors for prolonged periods in various weather conditions
- Can lift up to 50lbs
- Can stand comfortably for hours
- Can climb and use ladders and stepladders safely
- Can perform physical tasks such as standing, sitting, bending, kneeling, twisting, and squatting
- Can safely navigate between and around cars in drive-thru lines
- Can use a utility knife safely
- Can operate all stand positions efficiently during peak hours
- Can maintain awareness of overall shift operations
- Can confront peers assertively and graciously regarding operational or cultural issues
- Can adapt to and implement solutions in stressful situations
- Must be available for flexible schedules including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must be reachable by phone or in person outside of scheduled shifts
Job Qualifications
- Proven leadership abilities in a fast-paced environment with 40+ team members
- Beginner-level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Effective communication and coaching skills
- Ability to adapt and implement solutions under pressure
- Experience working with diverse personality types in a leadership role
Job Duties
- Proficient in all Brewista and Shift Lead duties and skill sets
- Maintain excellent wait times, cleanliness, and customer interactions through training, coaching, and encouragement
- Provide regular feedback to each team member on strengths and areas of growth
- Create weekly shift schedules balancing crew needs, availability, and cost of labor
- Track and order inventory, small wares, parts, and equipment while minimizing waste
- Ensure appropriate cash handling, deposits, and change management
- Facilitate team bonding and development through meetings and events
- Take ownership of operational solutions or escalate as needed
- Ensure crew meets all health requirements
- Develop new leaders within the team
- Implement and communicate directives from upper management promptly
- Delegate tasks efficiently to leadership team and Brewistas
