Job Requirements

  • Team player with a sense of humor
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Must demonstrate good math and communication skills
  • Minimum 3 years experience as a salaried Manager in full service or fast casual restaurant
  • Demonstrated leadership skills including coaching, directing, and motivating a team
  • Exposure to P&L and sales building highly desirable
  • Must be able to lift 30lbs frequently and up to 80lbs occasionally
  • Must be able to stand, bend, and walk the entire workday
  • Ability to work under high stress physically, mentally, and emotionally
  • Responsible for effective operation of office/restaurant equipment needing use of all limbs, fingers and vision
  • Must come to work on time ready for shift and not leave until next shift is setup for success

Job Duties

  • Conduct team member interviews
  • Conduct team member reviews every 6 months and create action plans to ensure growth and development
  • Support the Head Trainer to ensure training materials are consistently and effectively used
  • Coach, train, and develop team members in all work areas
  • Provide tools, education, and experience for job performance standards
  • Conduct all new team member orientation and support ongoing training
  • Follow up personally with team members and maintain accurate training records
  • Deliver profitability by operating within cost of goods and labor guidelines
  • Meet cost goals for food and labor, ensure no overtime is scheduled
  • Hold team members accountable for achieving food, labor, and cost goals
  • Complete checklists and reports accurately and on time, verify invoices
  • Support weekly inventories and action plans with General and Kitchen Managers
  • Provide input on budgets, projections, goals, and objectives
  • Secure people, monies, records, information, and equipment
  • Follow administrative guidelines and maintain accurate records and paperwork
  • Support GM in conducting timely performance reviews and completing new hire forms
  • Reconcile payroll records at the end of every shift
  • Prepare and maintain FOH and Bar labor schedules
  • Use and document team member disciplinary actions properly
  • Conduct daily audits and cash checks
  • Promote the Hopdoddy culture and participate in marketing and sales plans
  • Set leadership example through conduct, appearance, and energy level
  • Ensure food preparation follows company standards and recipes
  • Ensure food safety and security procedures are followed
  • Oversee proper staffing and operation of the restaurant
  • Maintain product inventory and ensure cleanliness and sanitation
  • Provide warm hospitality and effectively handle guest interactions and complaints
  • Motivate and develop team members, maintaining an open-door policy
  • Model personal excellence and consistency, communicate effectively
  • Conduct walkthroughs and review shopper scores
  • Demonstrate initiative, multitask efficiently, and maintain composure under stress
  • Develop personal improvement plans to reach next leadership level
