Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least one year of caregiving experience
- Successful completion of criminal background checks
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass TB test and drug screening
- Physical ability to provide personal care
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 1-year experience caring for seniors or adults
- Warm and compassionate demeanor
- Ability to communicate effectively and perform assigned tasks competently
- Completion of criminal background check, BMV check, TB test, and drug screening
- Valid driver’s license with current auto insurance and reliable transportation
- Physical capability to stoop, reach, and lift in caregiving situations
- No certification required although CNA, HHA, or DSP credentials are preferred and commensurately compensated
Job Duties
- Provide companionship through conversation, activities, light housekeeping, errands, and transportation
- Assist clients with medication reminders and accompany them to appointments
- Offer personal care including meal preparation, bathing, feeding, toileting, transferring, exercising, and grooming
- Communicate client condition changes and concerns to office and care team
- Maintain accurate charting and reporting of client care
- Follow safety protocols including use of personal protective equipment
- Support client independence and quality of life through consistent caregiving
