Job Requirements

  • 1-3 years maintenance experience
  • High school education or equivalent certification
  • Experience in interior painting
  • Skills in HVAC, carpentry, drywall, appliances, plumbing, and electrical repair preferred
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Refrigeration certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days
  • Valid driver’s license with dependable transportation
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel for extended periods
  • Ability to push and pull up to 300 pounds
  • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds
  • Capability to climb ladders up to 40 feet
  • Ability to use hand tools and test equipment
  • CPO certification if required

Job Qualifications

  • 1-3 years maintenance experience
  • Experience as an in-house painter preferably in residential or apartment settings
  • High school education or equivalent
  • Expertise in HVAC, carpentry, drywall, appliances, plumbing, and electrical repair preferred
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Budget or basic business finance skills helpful
  • Refrigeration certification type 2 or universal or ability to obtain within 90 days
  • Valid driver’s license free from major violations
  • CPO certification if required in state

Job Duties

  • Complete make-ready tasks to prepare units for new residents
  • Respond promptly and courteously to resident maintenance requests
  • Troubleshoot and repair maintenance issues including HVAC, carpentry, drywall, appliances, plumbing, and electrical systems
  • Perform high-quality interior painting to maintain aesthetic standards
  • Collaborate closely with the Community Service Manager to meet community safety and operational standards
  • Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work performed
