The Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Hotel is an upscale luxury resort nestled in the renowned Deer Valley ski resort area, approximately 40 minutes from the Salt Lake City International Airport. Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in hospitality or restaurant management
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • proficiency with reservation management systems
  • problem-solving skills

Job Qualifications

  • experience in high-end hospitality or fine dining
  • strong leadership and communication skills
  • knowledge of omakase or Japanese cuisine preferred
  • ability to manage reservations and front-of-house operations
  • proficiency in training and supervising staff
  • excellent guest service orientation
  • ability to handle VIP and special event coordination

Job Duties

  • coordinating and managing reservations
  • answering the phone, emails, and text messages from guests
  • manage and train other FOH staff on hosting and canapé service
  • assist with the bar service program as scheduling needs require
  • greet and welcome guests ensuring a high standard of hospitality
  • coordinate with the chef and FOH staff to ensure timely and efficient service
  • handle guest's feedback resolving them in a professional manner
