Job Description

The Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Hotel is a prestigious luxury hotel located within the renowned Deer Valley ski resort, about 40 minutes from the Salt Lake City International Airport. This hotel is part of an ambitious new development that includes 17 ski lifts, 1,600 residential units, eight hotels with a total of 1,350 rooms, 250,000 square feet of conference and retail space, and one of the largest "ski beaches" in the world. Job Requirements

  • minimum of 2 years experience as a maitre'd or similar hospitality role
  • bartending experience preferred
  • full time availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • excellent communication and leadership skills
  • ability to manage and train FOH staff
  • customer service oriented
  • knowledge of sanitation and safety regulations

Job Qualifications

  • minimum of 2 years of experience as a maitre'd or in a similar role in hospitality

Job Duties

  • Coordinate and manage reservations
  • answer phone calls, emails, and text messages from guests
  • manage and train FOH staff on hosting and canapé service
  • assist with the bar service program as scheduling requires
  • greet and welcome guests ensuring a high standard of hospitality
  • coordinate with the chef and FOH staff to ensure timely and efficient service
  • handle guests' feedback and resolve them professionally
  • maintain updated knowledge of the menu, beverage list, and specials
  • manage VIP guests and special events to ensure exceptional experiences
  • regularly review product for quality
  • organize and supervise shifts
  • ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations
  • promote the brand in the local community through word-of-mouth and restaurant events
  • foster a collaborative spirit by supporting colleagues
  • interact with guests and team members with warmth and professionalism
  • ensure thoughtfulness, accuracy, and precision in all aspects of service
