Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- experience in hospitality or customer service preferred
- ability to use reservation and guest management software
- excellent communication skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- eligibility to work in the United States as confirmed by E-Verify system
- commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences
Job Qualifications
- Experience as a host/maitre'd at a high-volume, upscale restaurant preferred but not required, we're willing to train the right person
- strong knowledge of reservation and guest management systems (experience with SevenRooms a plus)
- polished communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse guests
- calm and professional demeanor under pressure
- strong problem-solving skills
- passion for hospitality and a natural ability to anticipate guest needs
- flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Welcome every guest with grace and professionalism, setting the stage for an exceptional dining experience
- oversee reservations and guest flow, ensuring efficient and balanced seating for optimal service
- anticipate guest needs and manage VIP experiences with discretion and care
- serve as a communication hub between front-of-house and back-of-house to maintain smooth operations
- support the other hosts, modeling elevated service standards at all times
- handle guest concerns with empathy, professionalism, and swift resolution
- uphold an atmosphere of warmth and hospitality consistent with Pinyon's coastal Mediterranean spirit
