Job Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in fine dining, luxury hospitality, or private club service
  • prior Maître d’ or supervisory experience preferred

  • sommelier or wine knowledge is a plus

Job Duties

  • Serve as the primary point of welcome for all members and guests
  • provide a warm, professional, and personalized greeting
  • seat members and guests in a friendly, accommodating, and efficient manner, adjusting seating arrangements and table set-ups as needed
  • anticipate member and guest preferences
  • ensure special requests, dietary restrictions, and VIP considerations are seamlessly handled
  • resolve concerns or special requests with diplomacy, discretion, and professionalism
  • maintain a visible presence on the dining floor, ensuring smooth service flow and impeccable member interactions
  • oversee daily dining room operations, including setup, ambiance, table settings, and service station readiness
  • collaborate with servers, runners, and culinary teams to ensure flawless coordination of courses and timing
  • train, mentor, and support front-of-house staff to uphold service standards, etiquette, and professionalism
  • manage reservations, waitlists, and table assignments with accuracy and a focus on member satisfaction
  • assist with private dining, special events, and high-profile club functions
  • set up all tables according to reservations, accommodating special requests when applicable
  • maintain complimentary service stations such as water, coffee, tea and ensure ice, beverages, and supplies are stocked throughout the shift
  • oversee and maintain the Ladies Card Room and other dining spaces
  • ensure cleanliness, order, and proper presentation
  • answer telephones professionally, take reservation information, and transfer calls as appropriate
  • assist servers and runners with breaking down or resetting tables as needed to maintain seamless service
