Job Requirements
- Must possess a valid state driver's license or commercial driver's license CDL
- Must possess knowledge and skills to operate a motor vehicle safely
- Must meet DOT physical and medical requirements
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening
- CDL with class B endorsement required if operating vehicles over 26,000 lbs
- Must be able to perform physical tasks including standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to work indoors and outdoors exposed to dust, dirt, and potential hazards
- Must complete HazMat training within 90 days of hire
Job Qualifications
- One year of experience in general maintenance involving upkeep of buildings, grounds, fixtures, and equipment
- Three years specialized experience in painting, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical repairs
- Possession of a valid state commercial driver's license CDL
- Ability to meet Department of Transportation physical and medical requirements
- Passing a pre-employment drug screening
- HazMat training within 90 days of hire
- Knowledge and skills for safe motor vehicle operation
Job Duties
- Performs preventive maintenance work on equipment as scheduled by supervisor
- Performs various carpentry tasks including repairs and alterations of buildings and equipment
- Paints interior and exterior surfaces including walls, baseboards, shelves, counters, and cases
- Makes electrical repairs including wiring, control equipment, and fixture maintenance
- Conducts plumbing repairs such as replacing defective parts, sealing joints, and caulking
- May patch potholes in parking areas using heavy equipment
- Operates motor vehicles ensuring safe use and maintenance
- Performs inventory management of maintenance stock and equipment
- Maintains compliance with safety regulations and reports hazardous conditions
- Works independently under general supervision using judgment and skills
- Performs other related duties as assigned
