Job Requirements
- Completed military flight and applicable training courses as required IAW 95-20
- must meet qualification requirements of AR 95-20
- minimum of ten years of aviation maintenance experience required
- prefer a minimum of 1000 hours of pilot in command time
- be proficient in flying operations of the AH-64
- satisfactorily completed a proficiency check within the previous 12 months
- successfully complete initially and annually thereafter an Army or FAA Class II flight physical
- possess an instrument rating on FAA Commercial Certificates
- possess a current valid Army or FAA Class II Medical Certificate
- successfully completed Army Maintenance Test Pilots Course (MTPC) or complete an equivalency evaluation IAW AR 95-1 and 95-20
- successfully completed the US Army Aircraft Maintenance Officers Course (AMOC) Phase II or complete an equivalency evaluation IAW AR 95-1 and 95-20
- must meet experience requirements of AFR55-22, NOTAMS, AR95-10, AR95-20, and DCMA-8210
- 1000 or more hours of total flight time with at least 300 hours in the same aircraft type and 100 hours in the assigned aircraft
- version 6 qualified
- must be able to obtain and maintain secret security clearance
- ability to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance if required.
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Perform test flights and demonstrate aircraft proficiency upon completion of aircraft maintenance or modifications
- determine airworthiness of aircraft prior to release for flight according to publications and procedures
- perform recovery flights and ferry aircraft to additional sites such as depots
- perform troubleshooting procedures on aircraft both on the ground and during flight, making write-ups or giving verbal instructions to correct deficiencies
- verify maintenance forms and records to comply with work performed prior to ground or flight checks
- run-up aircraft for alert status to perform tests on modifications
- deploy when required to support contract requirements involving maintenance test flights
- interpret meteorological data and file flight plans using authorized processes
- ensure proper documentation is chronicled
- compute weight and balance logs for the aircraft
- initiate and complete military flight or maintenance forms documenting maintenance test flight completions and discrepancies
- communicate, troubleshoot, advise and work alongside military pilots and technicians
- ferry flights as assigned
- perform site safety specialist and/or safety officer duties when qualified
- administer Foreign Object Elimination/Foreign Object Debris (FOE/FOD) program as designated
- support AS9100-AS9110 internal audits, corrective actions, and assist in developing corrective plans
- assist with continual improvement initiatives
- conduct aircraft technical inspections including power plant, pneudraulic systems, structural repairs, electrical/electronic systems
- lecture and demonstrate inspection techniques and operational checks
- provide technical guidance to repair personnel
- maintain technical library and inspect systems and components before, during, and after maintenance
- evaluate operational readiness and recommend corrective actions
- inspect crash-damaged aircraft and estimate repairs
- ensure compliance with configuration control, oil analysis, and testing calibration
- evaluate maintenance operations for adherence to directives, safety, and quality standards
- perform maintenance trend analysis and apply maintenance management principles
- perform other qualified duties as assigned.
