Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous engineering experience preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret safety and maintenance documents
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and associates
  • Ability to work independently as a mechanic
  • Ability to analyze problems and implement solutions
  • Represent the company in a courteous and well-groomed manner
  • Punctuality with uniform compliance
  • Ability to use hand and power tools
  • Physical ability to perform tasks including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, lifting, grasping, twisting, and stretching
  • Flexibility and a positive attitude

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous engineering experience preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as Lockout Tag Out, MSDS, safety awareness information, maintenance instructions and procedural manuals
  • Effective communication skills with guests and associates
  • Ability to work independently as a mechanic
  • Strong problem analysis and solution implementation skills
  • Courteous and well-groomed appearance
  • Ability to use and understand hand and power tools
  • Physical capability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, lift, grasp, twist, and stretch
  • Flexible with a positive attitude

Job Duties

  • Repairs furniture and structures such as cabinets, tables, chairs, doors, windows, and wallpaper
  • Paints and finishes furniture and structures
  • Checks and makes minor repairs on electrical systems including HVAC, refrigeration controls, vacuum cleaners, hairdryers, lighting systems, television sets, and phones
  • Checks and makes minor repairs on plumbing systems and fixtures including pipe lines, valves, toilets, showers, sinks, and cutting of keys as well as major repair of locks
  • Performs preventive maintenance of plumbing and electrical systems according to schedule
  • Maintains cleanliness, sanitation, and personal hygiene
  • Participates fully in the hotel's Fire, Safety, Security, and Environmental plans and/or committees
  • Performs other duties as assigned
