Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum one year experience as industrial mechanic and/or electrician
- ability to read and comprehend safety rules and procedure manuals
- effective communication skills
- basic math skills including fractions and percentages
- problem-solving abilities
- forklift driving capability
- experience using power tools
- physical ability to lift at least 75 pounds
- willingness to comply with safety protocols and wear personal protective equipment
- ability to work around moving machinery and exposure to chemicals and extreme temperatures
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- minimum one year experience as Industrial Mechanic and/or Electrician
- ability to read and comprehend safety rules, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- effective communication skills for small group interaction
- ability to calculate fractions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
- problem-solving skills with ability to handle multiple variables
- capable of operating a forklift and power tools
- knowledge of lock-out/tag-out safety procedures
- understanding of Quality and Environmental Management Systems
- ability to follow OSHA safety regulations
Job Duties
- Safely perform emergency and preventative repairs to plant machinery and infrastructure
- respond to production supervisor during unplanned production line breakdowns
- utilize manpower and equipment to complete repairs timely
- clean maintenance and work areas where repairs are performed
- use company equipment and tools safely and prudently
- apply lock-out/tag-out procedures and report unsafe conditions
- maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and communicate replenishment needs
- utilize Work Order system to enter and complete work orders
- report to Maintenance Leadman or Production Supervisor during off-shifts and weekends
- comply with Quality and Environmental Management System principles
- communicate daily with Production and Quality Control personnel to resolve problems
- follow Spill Response, Log and Report Procedure in event of spills
- recycle non-contaminated paper, metals, oils, and cardboard
