Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Relevant experience in hotel or commercial property maintenance
  • Proven skills in plumbing, electrical, refrigeration and HVAC systems
  • Ability to perform light carpentry and drywall repairs
  • Strong organizational and self-motivation skills
  • Proficient English communication skills
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to emergency maintenance requests

Job Qualifications

  • Advanced maintenance knowledge and skills
  • Ability to dismantle equipment for repairs or component replacement
  • Knowledge of water chemistry, testing, filtration, and mechanical pool operations
  • Experience in preventative maintenance program implementation
  • Knowledge of building maintenance including minor electrical and plumbing repair
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair machinery faults using proper testing methods
  • Flexibility to be available for emergency repairs

Job Duties

  • Maintain safe and smooth-running physical hotel property and grounds
  • Complete repairs and preventative maintenance on plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, kitchen equipment and HVAC systems
  • Perform light carpentry, painting, vinyl and drywall repairs
  • Implement and monitor safety and maintenance programs ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Keep detailed records and reports
  • Provide ongoing training to Maintenance Tech I team members
  • Collaborate with management to recruit for department needs
  • Contribute to exceptional guest experience by providing courteous and friendly service
