Job Requirements

  • 0-1 year of experience in custodial or maintenance work
  • a valid driver’s license
  • ability to communicate with associates and residents to provide customer service
  • ability to read and understand policies and procedures including but not limited to Key Control Policy, Apartment Home Turnover Policy and all Maintenance Emergency policies and procedures
  • ability to identify cleaning and chemical supplies, ability to read and understand Hazard Communication Safety Data Sheets (SDS), ability to understand proper applications of chemicals and general cleaning supplies and ability to frequently handle these products
  • knowledge of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and ability to use properly
  • basic understanding of emergency systems, shutoffs, locations and sequence of operations
  • demonstrates knowledge of paint types and paint tools

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Perform daily cleaning and maintenance tasks to maintain the appearance of common areas, grounds, and amenities
  • clean and sanitize high-traffic areas, including lobbies, hallways, elevators, and recreational spaces
  • monitor and maintain cleanliness of outdoor spaces, including sidewalks, parking lots, and landscaping
  • ensure trash and recycling areas are regularly emptied and kept tidy
  • conduct routine inspections to identify and report maintenance or safety concerns
  • address minor maintenance issues such as light bulb replacement, paint touch-ups, and furniture assembly
  • assist residents with moving in and out of apartments, including loading/unloading belongings
