Job Requirements

  • High school graduate
  • valid NC driver’s license
  • knowledge of general maintenance
  • experience in HVAC
  • general computer knowledge for troubleshooting and software work order system
  • carry cell phone and respond to maintenance calls every fourth weekend
  • willingness to work odd hours in emergencies
  • ability to write and read with clarity
  • neat appearance and good personal hygiene
  • knowledge of fire alarm panel reset and pull stations
  • knowledge of main power supply, water supply, and gas supply shutoff
  • knowledge of roof equipment functions
  • willingness to work as housekeeping assistant porter, laundry assistant or grounds assistant as needed

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate

  • general computer knowledge for troubleshooting and software work order systems
  • ability to write and read with clarity
  • knowledge of fire alarm panel reset and pull stations
  • knowledge of main power, water, and gas supply shutoff
  • knowledge of roof and other equipment functions
  • willingness to support housekeeping, laundry, or grounds assistance

Job Duties

  • Assures maintenance of facility, grounds and equipment
  • services facility equipment and performs minor repairs
  • monitors whirlpool lift and services as needed
  • lubricates wheelchairs and makes minor repairs
  • cleans casters on equipment and filters per schedule
  • monitors bedrails and repairs as needed
  • monitors dining room tables to assure they are level
  • hangs pictures and connects TVs for patients
  • monitors downspouts, roof, and maintenance shop for cleanliness
  • repairs sheetrock as needed
  • performs minor carpentry, electrical, and plumbing repairs
