Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- one year of hospital experience preferred
- ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- knowledge of fire alarm and signal systems
- proficiency in using power and hand tools safely
- understanding of safety protocols and procedures
- good communication skills
- physical ability to perform manual labor including lifting, moving, and handling supplies

- safe use and thorough knowledge of power tools, hand tools and equipment
- knowledge and observance of safety precautions
Job Duties
- perform all assigned tasks in a professional manner to reflect the highest integrity of the engineering department
- assist in maintaining HVAC controls and associated equipment to maximize efficiency levels in all environmentally controlled areas
- perform urgent, corrective, routine and requisitioned repairs of minor problems with electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems as required
- notify supervisor if major repairs are required
- perform maintenance on equipment and systems as required
- maintain facilities and equipment according to state, federal and local regulatory requirements
- assist in replacing, repairing and testing electrical circuits, equipment, appliances and lighting systems as required
- maintain routine records of all inspections, maintenance and repairs performed on any equipment or system
- perform manual duties as requested such as moving supplies or furniture, replacing light bulbs, removing trash or scrap material
- complete preventive maintenance within scheduled intervals on a continuous basis to ensure the continued operation of the facility
