Job Requirements
- Lift up to 75 lbs. to waist height
- push/pull 75-100 lbs. to move 15 carts simultaneously
- ability to walk and stand for the duration of the shift
- ability to be airport badged
- valid drivers license
Job Qualifications
- Six months successful work experience unless currently a student
- ability to pass state, federal (FAA), Homeland Security clearance requirements and reference checks
- open scheduling availability including weekends and holidays
- strong customer service skills
- mathematical comprehension skills
- ability to display confidence and competence in a fast-paced environment
- comfortable speaking to the general public
Job Duties
- Manually move carts throughout departures, baggage claim, garage, and rental car center to cart collection areas
- transport carts using mechanized equipment along established routes
- adhere to cart replenishment inventory protocols for rental mechanized equipment
- change batteries in machines
- repair luggage carts and wheelchairs
- perform routine cleaning of carts, cart management units, cart tracks, and moving equipment
- practice safe work habits to ensure safety of self, coworkers, company equipment, airport property, and passengers
- provide ambassador service to patrons purchasing luggage carts
- offer general customer service to help passengers navigate the airport
- demonstrate strong work habits with honesty, reliability, and professionalism
- communicate effectively with peers, maintenance, and management to improve operations
- withstand undesirable weather conditions including wind, rain, snow, extreme temperatures
- adapt to operational changes
- maintain a flexible schedule
- perform other duties as assigned by management
