Job Requirements
- A valid in-state driver’s license is required
- Ability to stand and walk for up to eight hours per day
- Use of hands, including fingers, to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls in a repetitive motion
- Capacity to reach with arms and hands overhead and in front of your body safely
- Frequently required to be flexible by climbing, balancing, or occasionally crawling in confined spaces
- Ability to see clearly at both far and close distances as well as the capacity to adjust focus effectively
- Required to regularly push, pull, lift, or carry 50 lbs
- occasionally up to 85 lbs
- Proper handling of potentially hazardous chemicals
- Must be able to climb ladders, occasionally up to an 8-foot ladder safely
Job Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous home refurbishment or make-ready experience preferred
- HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and pool operation experience are a plus
- OSHA certifications or completed trainings are a plus
- Proficiency in industry-specific software products including the use of electronic devices/tablets
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work safely around animals and wildlife
- Valid in-state driver’s license
Job Duties
- Maintain rental inventory through preventative maintenance, work-orders, and home refurbs
- Keep the community grounds, common areas, and vacant lots clean and free of debris and trash
- Complete all work in a timely manner, without sacrificing quality or safety standards
- Respond to after-hour emergency calls according to on-call schedule
- Read water meters, identify, and resolve leaks within the community as applicable
- Organize maintenance facilities, tools, and equipment
- Aid in new home delivery and set-up and report any warranty/follow-up work to management
- Deliver resident notices as requested by management
- Participate in all required team/safety meetings
- Uphold OSHA standards and maintain personal protective equipment as required by State law
- Maintain safe winter road conditions through snow removal and de-icing when applicable
- Operate and maintain all company vehicles according to compliance and safety standards
- Communicate effectively with team members, vendors, and residents
- Ability to work safely around pets, service animals, and wildlife
- Additional duties as assigned by management and subject to change
