Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- trade or vocational training a plus
- minimum 2 years of relevant work experience
- valid driver's license with acceptable motor vehicle record
- ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs with assistance
- able to work outdoors in varied weather conditions including heat and cold
- able to work independently and as part of a team
- strong communication skills
- authorized to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of facility maintenance, groundskeeping, or operations experience in a large outdoor venue, campus, or similar environment
- demonstrated tractor and grounds equipment operation experience required, water truck, skid-steer, and forklift experience preferred
- working knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and hand and power tools
- comfortable working around animals and high-traffic public areas
- strong problem-solving, communication, and follow-through skills
- able to read and follow written and verbal instructions
- valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record
- forklift and skid-steer certification a plus
- must be authorized to work in the US
Job Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on buildings, gates, fencing, doors, plumbing fixtures, lighting, and irrigation
- conduct safety inspections
- respond to and close maintenance requests promptly
- repair or replace worn surfaces including mats, flooring, rails, and fencing
- perform minor carpentry and painting
- maintain cleanliness and functionality of shared spaces such as restrooms, clubrooms, walkways, and barns
- support event setup and breakdown including temporary fencing, bleachers, gates, and signage
- operate tractors and implements like drag, harrow, roller, compactor, box blade, and arena groomer to maintain safe riding and working surfaces and access roads
- manage moisture and dust control via water trucks, sprinklers, and hoses according to daily schedules and weather conditions
- inspect surfaces for hazards such as holes, ridges, and contamination and report base and grade issues
- assist with basic grade checks and coordinate vendors for re-grade or resurfacing efforts
- safely operate tractors with and without PTO, UTVs, skid steer, loader, forklifts if certified, trailers, and power tools such as pressure washers, drills, and saws
- perform daily and weekly equipment checks including fluids, tires, and grease points and report service needs
- follow all safety policies and personal protective equipment requirements
- identify and mitigate hazards
- troubleshoot urgent facility issues and escalate to specialty vendors as needed
- participate in on-call, weekend, holiday, and event coverage as assigned
- track materials and supplies and report shortages to the Operations Manager
- complete basic logs for drags, watering, inspections, and work orders
