Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- proven experience in hotel maintenance or engineering roles
- deep knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
- ability to handle emergency repairs and preventive maintenance
- knowledge of fire safety equipment and regulations
- excellent problem-solving skills
- ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- strong communication and teamwork abilities
- physical ability to perform maintenance tasks and handle tools and equipment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- in-depth knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems as well as elevators and fire safety equipment
- skills in developing and implementing preventive maintenance schedules
- ability to diagnose and repair issues promptly across a variety of hotel systems
- understanding of energy-efficient practices and systems to reduce costs and improve sustainability
- awareness of guest sensitivity and minimizing disruptions during maintenance activities
- flexibility to work weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Oversee routine maintenance and emergency repairs for hotel equipment, systems, and infrastructure
- perform or supervise preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and extend equipment life
- ensure all hotel facilities are in excellent condition including guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces
- maintain compliance with brand standards for property upkeep and appearance
- ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations including fire safety and building codes
- perform regular safety inspections and keep records of certifications and inspections
- monitor and manage energy consumption to improve efficiency and reduce costs
- implement energy-saving initiatives and sustainable practices
- work closely with housekeeping, front desk, and food and beverage teams to address maintenance needs promptly
- coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs or large-scale projects
