Job Requirements
- High school diploma or trade diploma or GED
- 2-4 years of mechanical hands-on repair experience in manufacturing
- valid driver’s license
- US citizenship required
- forklift certification
- scissor lift certification
- ability to read technical data and schematics
- self-motivated
- visual acuity for inspection
- good communication skills
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- computer literacy with MS Office
- strong organizational skills
- ability to work in fast-paced environments
- ability to operate and drive pick-up trucks
- willingness to participate in snow removal and off-hour maintenance
- able to lift and move up to 40 pounds
- flexible to work overtime, weekends, and off-hours
- adherence to safety and company policies.
Job Qualifications
- High school or trade diploma or GED
- technical certification(s) or degree preferred
- 2-4 years of mechanical hands-on repair or related manufacturing experience
- valid driver’s license
- forklift and scissor lift certification
- ability to read and interpret technical data, building prints, schematics, and specifications
- self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills
- good visual acuity for detailed inspection and repair
- mechanical aptitude and effective verbal and written communication skills
- ability to work independently and in teams
- computer literate with MS Office proficiency
- strong organizational and task prioritization skills
- ability to work well in high-paced and stressful environments.
Job Duties
- Inspect buildings and associated structures to detect malfunctions, damage, and adverse conditions and document for repair
- perform electrical maintenance including troubleshooting, fixture replacement, conduit installation, and circuit breaker work using hand, power, and specialty tools
- perform plumbing maintenance including leak repairs, septic system inspections, and installation of pneumatic lines
- perform cutting, bending and fabrication of high-pressure gas lines
- carry out basic surface preparation, spackling, sanding, painting, carpentry, and masonry tasks
- perform basic HVAC maintenance such as adjusting thermostats, cleaning condensers, pump repair, and troubleshooting
- perform scheduled preventative maintenance on facility systems and support equipment
- use various tools including voltmeters, multimeters, hydrometers, amp probes, and others with possible assistance or training
- assist in office and production furniture assembly and relocation, and space reconfiguration
- provide guidance and support to vendors and contractors as needed
- plan work sequence to facilitate repairs and project completion
- adjust work assignments based on management and production schedules
- collaborate effectively with internal and external individuals to close initiatives
- comply with safety, quality, housekeeping, and company policies
- contribute to a cooperative and safe work environment
- participate in team meetings and improvement initiatives
- communicate regularly with management about area activities and issues
- assume responsibility for special projects and assignments
- maintain cleanliness, safety, and security of work areas
- participate in off-hour maintenance and snow removal.
