Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • OSHA 10 certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days
  • experience in residential or building maintenance
  • basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, appliances
  • current valid driver's license and automobile insurance
  • ability to perform physical labor including climbing, stooping, lifting 50 pounds or more
  • availability for regular and consistent work including weekends and holidays
  • ability to use hand and power tools
  • excellent communication and customer service skills
  • able to perform occupancy checks and assist in eviction lockouts when necessary

Job Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • OSHA 10 certification (new hires have up to 90 days to complete if not certified)
  • proven experience in residential repairs and maintenance or related building maintenance
  • understanding of residential construction and mechanical systems including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, sheetrock, exterior structural, HVAC (minor) and appliances
  • excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • strong verbal and written communication skills
  • ability to use mobile devices and applications
  • current driver's license and automobile insurance
  • preferred certifications include EPA Certification Type I and II, HVAC Certification, pool CPO certification
  • ability to perform physical tasks including climbing, lifting over 50 pounds, and operating maintenance equipment

Job Duties

  • Completing maintenance service requests across multiple trades
  • providing excellent customer service and promoting a quality living experience for all residents
  • completing regular ProCare visits in residents' homes to perform proactive maintenance and repairs
  • educating residents regarding all maintenance topics
  • completing general property condition assessments at all property visits and alerting the property management team when items require immediate attention
  • reviewing and using Technician-specific reports to find opportunities for improvement
  • performing repairs in vacant properties while they are on-the-market or during the turn process
  • properly using and caring for company-supplied tools, materials, and vehicles
  • performing other duties as assigned
