Job Requirements

  • Must be available for on-call and emergency work
  • availability for varied shifts including weekends and holidays
  • successful completion of background check, physical exam, drug screening
  • ability to speak and understand English
  • Spanish fluency preferred
  • valid driver’s license
  • ability to operate motor vehicle or company cart if applicable
  • ability to travel to other locations for work and training
  • ability to stand or walk up to 8 hours
  • ability to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl
  • frequently lift up to 25 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds
  • clear vision for navigation
  • ability to work in varied environmental conditions

Job Qualifications

  • At least one year of maintenance experience in hospitality or related trade
  • basic electrical knowledge including outlet and switch replacement, operating multimeter, troubleshooting circuits
  • plumbing skills such as using plungers, drain-cleaning machines, installing fixtures
  • mechanical knowledge of HVAC systems, replacing filters, installing thermostats
  • general repair skills including furniture, drywall, carpet, vinyl flooring, and painting touch-ups
  • basic computer and mobile device skills
  • strong customer service focus
  • ability to follow instructions
  • excellent organizational skills
  • hospitality industry experience preferred
  • ability to work in diverse teams

Job Duties

  • Support and uphold company values and policies
  • perform routine preventative maintenance and repairs with little or no supervision
  • undergo training to enhance troubleshooting and repair skills
  • seek guidance for complex issues
  • gain hands-on experience in equipment upkeep and inspections
  • inspect and maintain tools and equipment
  • identify and operate shut-off valves
  • manage inventory and requisition parts
  • perform general maintenance and cleaning duties
  • utilize CMMS to create and close work orders
  • follow instructions and complete documentation
  • communicate with guests to address facility issues
  • develop positive working relationships
  • adhere to OSHA and safety regulations
  • participate in safety programs and committees
  • report workplace hazards and injuries
  • follow Lockout-Tagout procedures under supervision
