Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous maintenance experience preferred
- Ability to work varying schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Ability to push and pull carts and equipment weighing in excess of 300 pounds in emergencies
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
- Ability to bend, kneel, climb ladders, and handle heavy equipment
- Ability to operate tools, equipment, and office devices like computers and phones
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Ability to work in moderate to loud noise environments
- Ability to work in precarious places and handle toxic or caustic chemicals
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous maintenance experience preferred
- General knowledge in technical crafts including HVAC, electrical, plumbing
- Proficiently speak and comprehend English language
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Knowledge of maintenance operations and procedures
- Knowledge of proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals
- General knowledge of equipment such as vacuums, commercial washers and dryers
- Demonstrate genuine care for guests and employees
Job Duties
- Maintain general condition of the building and surroundings at all times walking the property regularly
- Maintain general knowledge of all types of mechanical equipment including chillers, boilers, water softeners, and refrigeration equipment, plumbing and electrical systems, and hotel shuttle
- Monitor supplies and maintain working order of tools and equipment
- Maintain a clean and safe working space
- Assist the Maintenance Supervisor with all monthly, quarterly, and yearly inspections are done timely, accurately, and responded to as appropriate
- Maintain pool and spa, performing chemical testing and maintaining up to date logbooks
- Respond to guest requests and complaints timely, efficiently, appropriately and in a friendly manner
