Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years experience in building maintenance or custodial services
  • flexible schedule including early mornings days evenings weekends and holidays
  • able to safely lift 50 lbs frequently and work at heights
  • pass background and fingerprint check
  • willing to undergo Catholic Diocese VIRTUS certification
  • strong desire to learn and grow in the maintenance field
  • good organizational and communication skills
  • ability to work safely following OSHA and other safety protocols
  • competent in basic tech applications and business tools

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years experience in building maintenance grounds or custodial work
  • trade certifications acquired or in process highly desirable
  • proficiency in using hand tools power tools and basic machinery
  • good communication and interpersonal skills
  • capable of managing work orders using technology
  • flexible availability including early mornings evenings weekends and some holidays
  • willing to obtain relevant industry certifications such as Low-Pressure Boiler License and OSHA 10-hour course

Job Duties

  • Diagnose and fix simple issues on various equipment furniture and school resources
  • carry out scheduled basic upkeep testing and monitoring tasks including light bulb ballast replacements boiler readings and equipment inspections
  • perform basic maintenance on mechanical plumbing electrical systems and kitchen equipment
  • organize and reference blueprints floor plans and service manuals
  • utilize mobile apps to receive track update and close work orders logging labor parts used and follow-up
  • adhere to and perform safety procedures including OSHA compliance daily inspections and PPE use
  • perform custodial duties including spot cleaning bathroom hallway cafeteria and exterior trash removal
  • set up and break down resources for school events
  • maintain inventory track orders and handle deliveries and mail
