Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One to two years experience in maintenance or related field preferred
  • Valid driver’s license, vehicle, and insurance
  • Clean driving record for the past 3 years
  • Proficiency in English reading, writing, and verbal communication
  • Ability to perform advanced maintenance tasks with quality
  • Compliance with state, local, and federal certification or licensure requirements as applicable

Job Qualifications

  • High school degree, GED or equivalent
  • One to two years related experience and/or training preferred
  • Proficiency in English language reading, writing, and verbal communication
  • Demonstrated proficiency and quality of advanced maintenance skills
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record for past 3 years
  • Ability to pass relevant certifications or licensing if required by state, local, or federal laws

Job Duties

  • Complete assigned service requests related to repairs and upkeep of properties including heating, plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, flooring, HVAC, and other general repairs
  • Recommend replacement or repair as necessary
  • Ensure all work completed is professional and clean after leaving residents homes
  • Prepare open apartments for rental within 24 to 72 hours, coordinating work of other staff or vendors as needed
  • Participate in ongoing training to build and maintain knowledge and skills
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with residents by addressing requests, questions, and concerns
  • Complete and document daily building inspections focusing on proactive maintenance
  • Ensure attractive internal and external appearance of buildings and grounds, removing debris and weeds and reporting maintenance needs
