Job Requirements

  • Ability to work periodic flexible hours
  • Ability to travel by plane and automobile
  • Ability to work at property locations within or near transitional neighborhoods
  • Ability to climb stairs, bend, squat, reach overhead, and meet standard physical mobility and lifting requirements
  • On-call availability for after-hours emergency service living within close proximity to the property
  • Hands-on repair and maintenance work constituting majority of job duties, High School Diploma or GED
  • Three years of oversight experience in maintenance
  • Valid driver’s license and insured vehicle
  • EPA certification within six months of hire

  • Valid driver’s license and insured vehicle
  • Ability to travel between properties
  • Ability to obtain EPA certification within six months of employment
  • Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, and appliance maintenance
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to comply with OSHA and safety regulations

Job Duties

  • Perform administrative work each morning including online training and communication reviews
  • Ensure all service requests and repairs are completed correctly and promptly using the company mobile maintenance app
  • Lead maintenance staff in diagnosing and repairing HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, and appliance issues
  • Ensure buildings, grounds, common areas, and vacant units are painted, cleaned, and ready for use per company guidelines
  • Oversee and complete the make-ready process for vacant apartment homes including inspections, scheduling vendors, and completing maintenance tasks
  • Complete monthly preventative maintenance in accordance with the Policy and Procedure Manual
  • Prepare properties consistently for owner, federal, state, and local inspections
  • Inspect grounds, buildings, and common areas to maintain cleanliness and safety
  • Remove snow from sidewalks and common areas using approved equipment and maintain logs
  • Assist Property Manager in budget development for repairs and maintenance
  • Maintain organized, clean, and safe work areas
  • Comply with all Standard Operating Procedures and OSHA regulations
  • Communicate effectively with residents, associates, vendors, and supervisors
  • Participate actively in technical training programs for personal growth
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
