Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience
  • Experience in Industrial, Commercial systems, Refrigeration & HVAC, Industrial Kitchen Appliances and General Maintenance Engineering
  • Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing (MEP) Systems
  • Diploma in engineering preferred.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Role model ability, leading a team, ready to roll up your sleeves and do what is needed to provide the best service with a problem-solving mentality
  • Meticulous attention to detail and data driven with the ability to influence different departments to suggest, implement and track DO & CO standards
  • Considerable knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems with the ability to analyze their design and intent and performance
  • Considerable knowledge of construction and building systems
  • Ability to analyze trends in utility consumption report and predict energy forecast
  • Ability to be a positive change champion for DO & CO, identifying key impact areas and priorities and supporting change programs and strategies
  • Ability to perform duties in confined space and in awkward positions
  • Ability to remain calm in an emergency situation and to effectively deal with internal and external personnel
  • Ability to translate technical information or problems into layman's terms, well presented, professional individual with a can-do, positive attitude that indulges in team success
  • Knowledge in environmental legislation with strong exposure to quality standards and quality systems
  • Flexibility (different shifts - night, weekends, holidays).

Job Duties

  • Supervise electrical, mechanical and general construction, repairing and maintenance of existing facilities and equipment
  • Assign and verify completion of routine maintenance and operation of physical structure, mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems and any other related equipment which contributes to the safe and effective operation of the facility
  • Inspect quality of work and assign staff and direct outside contractors in tasks according to performance and productivity standards
  • Maintain, monitor and test emergency and security systems, features like Fire Alarm, CCTV, etc.
  • Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures
  • Train maintenance staff on correct maintenance procedures, accident prevention and assist in repairs as needed
  • Develop and maintain preventive maintenance programs/schedules for all major equipment and store systems
  • Implement and maintain facility safety.
