Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent GED certification
  • Technical skills related to maintenance and repair of hotel systems
  • Flexibility to work weekends and holidays
  • Ability to perform preventive maintenance and emergency repairs
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Relevant certifications such as HVAC Technician, Electrician License, or OSHA training are preferred

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent GED certification
  • In-depth knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems as well as elevators and fire safety equipment
  • Skills in developing and implementing preventive maintenance schedules for long-term efficiency
  • Ability to diagnose and repair issues promptly across a variety of hotel systems
  • Understanding energy-efficient practices and systems to reduce costs and improve sustainability
  • Certifications like HVAC Technician, Electrician License, or OSHA safety training are preferred
  • Awareness of how maintenance activities can impact guests and taking measures to minimize disruptions

Job Duties

  • Oversee routine maintenance and emergency repairs for hotel equipment, systems, and infrastructure including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, and elevators
  • Perform or supervise preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and extend the life of equipment
  • Ensure all hotel facilities including guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces are in excellent condition
  • Maintain compliance with brand standards for property upkeep and appearance
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations including fire safety and building codes
  • Perform regular safety inspections and maintain records of certifications and inspections
  • Monitor and manage energy consumption to improve efficiency and reduce costs
  • Implement energy-saving initiatives and sustainable practices
  • Work closely with housekeeping, front desk, and food and beverage teams to address maintenance needs promptly and support guest satisfaction
