Job Requirements

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • 2-5 years of experience in a commercial, hotel, or institutional maintenance environment
  • working knowledge and hands-on skills in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
  • light carpentry skills and familiarity with painting and wallpaper repair
  • must meet minimum age requirements
  • must not pose a direct threat to the safety or health of self or others
  • ability to work extended or irregular hours
  • ability to lift up to 100 lbs occasionally, 50 lbs frequently, and 20 lbs constantly
  • ability to stand, bend, climb, and walk for entire shift
  • ability to professionally handle difficult situations, guest issues, and employee concerns
  • flexibility to adjust schedules and respond to emergencies
  • valid driver's license preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • 2-5 years of experience in a commercial, hotel, or institutional maintenance environment
  • working knowledge and hands-on skills in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
  • light carpentry skills and familiarity with painting and wallpaper repair
  • certified pool operator preferred
  • valid driver's license preferred
  • background in preventive maintenance programs strongly preferred
  • ability to interact professionally with guests, vendors, and team members
  • strong communication and leadership skills to oversee maintenance staff

Job Duties

  • Oversee daily maintenance operations for 300 guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house, kitchen, laundry, and meeting spaces
  • supervise maintenance technicians, ensuring all work is completed according to brand and safety standards
  • assign, review, and close work orders
  • ensure timely response to guestroom and facility maintenance calls
  • coordinate with Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering leadership, and other departments to prioritize guest-impacting issues
  • ensure proper training, safety practices, and compliance with Hilton brand standards
  • maintain communication logs and ensure outgoing maintenance calls are documented and followed up
