Job Requirements
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- 2-5 years of experience in a commercial, hotel, or institutional maintenance environment
- working knowledge and hands-on skills in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
- light carpentry skills and familiarity with painting and wallpaper repair
- must meet minimum age requirements
- must not pose a direct threat to the safety or health of self or others
- ability to work extended or irregular hours
- ability to lift up to 100 lbs occasionally, 50 lbs frequently, and 20 lbs constantly
- ability to stand, bend, climb, and walk for entire shift
- ability to professionally handle difficult situations, guest issues, and employee concerns
- flexibility to adjust schedules and respond to emergencies
- valid driver's license preferred
Job Qualifications
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- 2-5 years of experience in a commercial, hotel, or institutional maintenance environment
- working knowledge and hands-on skills in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
- light carpentry skills and familiarity with painting and wallpaper repair
- certified pool operator preferred
- valid driver's license preferred
- background in preventive maintenance programs strongly preferred
- ability to interact professionally with guests, vendors, and team members
- strong communication and leadership skills to oversee maintenance staff
Job Duties
- Oversee daily maintenance operations for 300 guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house, kitchen, laundry, and meeting spaces
- supervise maintenance technicians, ensuring all work is completed according to brand and safety standards
- assign, review, and close work orders
- ensure timely response to guestroom and facility maintenance calls
- coordinate with Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering leadership, and other departments to prioritize guest-impacting issues
- ensure proper training, safety practices, and compliance with Hilton brand standards
- maintain communication logs and ensure outgoing maintenance calls are documented and followed up
