Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- availability to work varied shifts including weekends or third shift if required
- ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and operating maintenance equipment
- clear verbal and written communication skills
- customer service oriented attitude
- ability to adapt to changing work environments
- ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain professionalism
- physical stamina to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- ability to read and follow written instructions
- commitment to maintaining company safety and conduct policies
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
- facility maintenance experience or skills training preferred
- valid state-issued driver’s license with current address and clean driving record
- ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing
- strong customer service skills
- adaptability to work varied shifts including weekends and third shift
- ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- physical ability to perform maintenance tasks including lifting 50 pounds or more
- knowledge of safety procedures and equipment operation
- professionalism and sound judgment under pressure
- ability to read, write, and interpret English
Job Duties
- perform all maintenance and cleaning tasks noted in checklists and as directed by facility manager or supervisor
- walk garage daily to note and correct any maintenance problems
- sweep and pick up around entrances, exits, stairwells and clean surface rails, booth, office, and restrooms
- empty all trashcans in garage, booth, and office
- paint facility areas such as poles, signs, doors, walls, curbs, islands, gates as directed
- replace burned out bulbs
- apply oil absorbent to oil spills
- submit requests for repairs or maintenance
- check safety items like gate arms to ensure clearance bars are secure
- check ticket spitters and gates daily for operation, ticket supply, time accuracy, and appearance
- provide ticket and gate counter records to manager
- keep inventory of janitorial supplies
- maintain garage or lot sweep sheet
- operate automatic sweepers, scrubbers, and outdoor equipment like weed eaters and lawnmowers
- shovel, plow, or blow snow from designated areas
- report safety hazards or policy violations to facility manager
- practice customer service behaviors for successful interactions
- assist customers as needed
- resolve customer complaints independently or with supervisor aid
- cover other duties including cashier or attendant as needed
- maintain neat appearance and wear complete uniform during shifts
- perform other assigned duties
