Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to perform facility maintenance and cleaning tasks
- Valid state-issued driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Availability to work special shifts including nights and weekends if required
- Ability to lift and move 50 pounds regularly
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to adapt to changing work environment
- Ability to act professionally under pressure
- Ability to understand and use English language
- Physical ability to perform tasks including standing, walking, bending, climbing, and lifting
- Willingness to follow safety policies and report hazards
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
- Previous facility maintenance experience preferred but not required
- Ability to operate maintenance equipment such as sweepers and lawnmowers
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Basic customer service skills
- Ability to adapt to changes and work under pressure
- Professional demeanor and judgment
- Valid state-issued driver’s license with a current address and acceptable driving record
- Ability to read, write and interpret English
Job Duties
- Perform all maintenance and cleaning tasks noted in the checklists and as directed by the facility manager/supervisor
- Walk garage daily to note and correct any maintenance problems
- Sweep and pick up around the entrances and exits to the garage and stairwells as well as clean surface area rails on all levels, the booth, the office and restrooms
- Empty all trashcans in the garage, the booth and the office
- Paint facility areas as directed to maintain cleanliness and appearance
- Replace burned out bulbs
- Apply oil absorbent to oil spills
- Submit requests for repairs or maintenance
- Check conditions of safety items such as gate arms to ensure security
- Check ticket spitters and gates daily for proper operations and appearance
- Provide ticket and record gate counters to the manager
- Keep an inventory of janitorial supplies
- Maintain a garage/lot sweep sheet
- Operate automatic sweepers, scrubbers, and outdoor equipment
- Shovel, plow or blow snow from designated areas
- Report violations, safety hazards or unusual occurrences to the facility manager promptly
- Practice customer service behaviors to ensure successful interactions
- Assist customers and resolve complaints independently or with supervision
- Cover additional duties such as cashier or attendant as needed
- Maintain a neat and clean appearance with complete uniform
- Perform other duties as assigned
