Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in facility maintenance preferred but not required
  • Valid state-issued driver's license if required for the position
  • Availability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, or third shifts if needed
  • Ability to communicate clearly
  • Ability to write and read English
  • Ability to interact positively with customers
  • Physical ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work in outdoor and indoor environments and withstand exposure to chemicals and weather conditions
  • Maintain proper uniform and professional appearance during shifts
  • Ability to operate maintenance equipment safely
  • Ability to respond to safety hazards and unusual situations immediately
  • Willingness to assist with various operational tasks including cashier and attendant duties as needed

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent or a combination of education and experience
  • Facility maintenance experience or training preferred
  • Ability to use and operate equipment such as sweepers, scrubbers, and other maintenance tools
  • Valid state-issued driver's license with a satisfactory driving record if required to operate company vehicles
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to read and interpret instructions and company policies
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing work environments and handle unexpected events
  • Good judgment and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to maintain professionalism under pressure
  • Physical capability to perform duties involving lifting up to 50 pounds, walking, standing, climbing, bending, and other physical activities
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions including rain, snow, heat, and cold

Job Duties

  • Perform all maintenance and cleaning tasks as directed by the facility manager or supervisor to ensure cleanliness of the facility
  • Walk garage daily to identify and correct maintenance issues
  • Sweep and pick up litter around garage entrances, exits, stairwells, and various facility areas including booths, offices, and restrooms
  • Empty all trashcans in the garage, booth, and office
  • Paint designated facility areas to maintain neat appearance
  • Replace burned-out bulbs
  • Apply oil absorbent to clean oil spills
  • Submit repair or maintenance requests
  • Check safety items like gate arms to ensure proper security
  • Monitor ticket spitters and gates for operation, ticket supply, accurate time, and appearance
  • Provide ticket and record gate counts to the manager
  • Maintain inventory of janitorial supplies
  • Keep a garage/lot sweep sheet
  • Operate equipment such as automatic sweepers, scrubbers, weed eaters, and lawnmowers
  • Shovel, plow, or blow snow from designated areas
  • Report any safety hazards, policy violations, or unusual occurrences to the Facility Manager
  • Practice customer service principles including the Three Keys to Customer Satisfaction and Five Customer Service Behaviors
  • Assist and resolve customer complaints within the facility
  • Cover duties such as cashier or attendant as needed
  • Maintain professional appearance with complete uniform
  • Perform other duties as assigned
