Job Requirements

  • Prior experience working in seniors housing as a Maintenance Manager
  • Experience in apartment or condo complexes, hospitality centers, or hotels as a Maintenance Manager
  • Hands-on multi-unit maintenance experience from jobs or volunteer roles
  • Experience in customer service, warehouse, military, industrial, or technical environments
  • Proven ability to multitask in preventative maintenance or similar settings
  • Experience managing expenses, labor, staffing, and scheduling
  • Skilled in various forms of repair work, preventative maintenance, and environmental services oversight
  • Knowledge and/or willingness to learn about dementia and resident care
  • Good customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Skilled in hand and power tools
  • Computer proficiency or ability to learn new software
  • Knowledge of common household repairs including electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and drywall
  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely
  • Familiarity with housekeeping programs for multi-unit buildings
  • Strong detail orientation and documentation abilities
  • Contract negotiation and labor management skills
  • Hardworking with a positive, get-it-done attitude

Job Qualifications

  • At least 21 years of age
  • Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification
  • Current negative TB test
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, and move continuously during work hours
  • Ability to carry or transfer up to 50lbs with assistance
  • Ability to pass criminal record and background check
  • Efficient with good time management skills
  • Able to work independently with little oversight
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Proficient with hand and power tools
  • Valid driver license with clean driving abstract
  • Willing to attend and apply various training programs

Job Duties

  • Manage the maintenance and repair of residents' suites
  • Oversee upkeep of common social and gathering spaces
  • Maintain major and minor mechanical systems of the building
  • Supervise exterior building and grounds upkeep
  • Execute and oversee the community Life Safety program including training and safety drills
  • Manage contracts, expenses, and labor related to maintenance operations
  • Provide excellent customer service to senior residents while performing maintenance tasks
