Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- three to five years of experience in facilities maintenance, plant operations, or engineering services
- valid driver's license
- pool certification or ability to attain within 60 days
- TIPS certification required prior to employment
- ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- ability to lift up to 60 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally
- ability to perform physically demanding tasks including bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, crouching, and handling heavy equipment
- proficiency in English
- ability to read and write
- knowledge of technical maintenance skills
- strong communication skills
- supervisory abilities
- adherence to company policies and legal regulations
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- two years of college or vocational training in electrical or mechanical engineering or plumbing preferred
- three to five years of experience in facilities maintenance, plant operations, or engineering services
- previous supervisory experience preferred
- previous hospitality experience preferred
- specialization in HVAC, electrical, or plumbing crafts
- ability to mentor and lead team members
- proficiency in English language skills
- ability to read and write effectively
- knowledge of budget development and financial analysis
- decision-making skills with general guidelines
- ability to work in fast-paced environment
- strong organizational and multitasking skills
- valid driver's license
- pool certification or ability to attain within 60 days
- TIPS certification required or must be obtained prior to employment
Job Duties
- Develop and administer preventative maintenance schedule
- complete work orders in a timely manner ensuring proper documentation
- monitor general condition of the building and surroundings through regular inspections
- maintain knowledge of mechanical equipment including chillers, boilers, water softeners, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, and shuttle
- manage sourcing, interviewing, training, and development of maintenance team
- ensure compliance with fire and safety inspections and correct discrepancies
- obtain pricing, bids, and develop cost estimates
- monitor supplies and maintain tool inventories
- complete and submit all required documentation to General Manager
- maintain clean and safe working space
- perform monthly, quarterly, and yearly inspections timely and accurately
- promote teamwork and communication with other departments
- set up, tear down, and service banquets and meeting rooms
- schedule outside contractor work as needed
- maintain pool and spa including chemical testing and logs
- respond to guest requests and complaints promptly and professionally
- maintain professional appearance
- follow company policies and legal regulations
- may act as hotel shuttle driver as needed
- perform other duties assigned by management
