Job Requirements

  • Education level relevant to facilities management
  • Proven experience in facilities management or related field
  • Knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing
  • Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Ability to prepare and manage budgets
  • Experience in vendor management and contract negotiation
  • Strong leadership and communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience in facilities management or a related field
  • Knowledge of building systems such as HVAC, electrical, and plumbing and maintenance best practices
  • Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Excellent budget management and project management skills
  • Experience with vendor management and contract negotiation
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills

Job Duties

  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures for building systems including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing
  • Oversee routine inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance
  • Prepare and manage the facilities budget, track expenses, and seek cost-saving opportunities
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and contractors, including cleaning, pest control, mechanical repair, plumbing, and landscaping
  • Manage contracts and service agreements with vendors and contractors
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Develop and implement workplace safety initiatives and emergency preparedness plans
  • Supervise and train facilities staff including maintenance and cleaning teams
  • Ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the facility including waste disposal and reception
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, expenses, and inspections
