Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Three to five years of experience in facilities maintenance, plant operations or engineering services
- Valid driver’s license
- Pool certification or ability to attain within 60 days
- TIPS certification required or must be obtained prior to employment
- Ability to work varying schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments
- Ability to bend, kneel, climb ladders, crouch, and work in precarious places
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Two years of college or vocational training in electrical, mechanical engineering or plumbing preferred
- Three to five years of experience in facilities maintenance, plant operations or engineering services
- Previous supervisory experience preferred
- Previous hospitality experience preferred
- Specialization or certification in technical crafts such as HVAC, electrical, or plumbing preferred
- Proficient in English communication
- Ability to mentor and develop staff
- Basic knowledge of budget development and analysis
- Ability to assess and evaluate team performance fairly
- Ability to make decisions based on general policies
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Job Duties
- Develop and administer preventative maintenance schedule
- Complete work orders in a timely manner and ensure proper documentation
- Monitor the general condition of the building and property regularly
- Maintain knowledge of mechanical equipment including chillers, boilers, water softeners, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical systems, and hotel shuttle
- Ensure fire and safety inspections are completed and corrected as necessary
- Manage sourcing, interviewing, and training of maintenance team members
- Schedule outside contractor work and maintain pool and spa chemical logs
- Respond to guest requests and complaints promptly
- Maintain clean and safe working conditions
- Coordinate with other departments for banquet and meeting room setup and service
- Maintain supplies, tools, and equipment inventories
- Ensure compliance with all documentation and inspections according to policy
- Operate hotel in compliance with federal, state, and local laws including OSHA and health codes
- May fill in as hotel shuttle driver
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
